What’s on for the youth’s

COMING UP THIS MONTH…

Training

Thursday night turbo training at Colchester stadium is in full swing.  Jason’s newly purchased PA is making a big difference to the experience. Please note the new start time is now 6.45pm and it costs £1 for Kids and £2 for Adults.

Also on the training front there is our fortnightly Cross training at Hilly Fields this Saturday.  Starts at 9:30am on the top field and costs £3 per session or £5 for two riders. Parents are welcome to support and join in the fun. Please ensure you have a completed consent form with any medical details if you haven’t attended before. Our next training session is the 31st of October. 

One for the track riders Amber & Green Group Track School riders will be a the Lee Valley Velodrome on Sunday 1st of November.

Half-Term Round Up

While I am on the subject of the track, Herne Hill are running a half-term Holiday Club on the 26th-30th October, with options for mountain biking or track cycling on most days,  Full details are on the Herne Hill website http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/sessions_and_training/school_holiday_clubs/

And finally in the way of training, Chelmer CC have offered us a chance to join their Road bike coaching on a Saturday morning.  This takes place at  Chelmer Valley Park and Ride every Saturday morning 9am for 8-11yrs and 10:30am for 12-16yrs.  For details check out the Facebook page - Youth Cycle Coaching - Chelmsford.

Racing

Now onto the racing, the Cyclocross season is in full swing.   This Sunday is our own club event at Mistley, it would be nice to get as many of the youth section racing as we can.

November is a busy month for cyclocross.  After our own cross it’s Grafham Water on the 1st November followed by West Suffolk Cross on the 7th and the 3rd Round of the National Trophy at Durham. Hempton Cross is on the 15th and Redgrave and Push Sport Cross on the 21st and 22nd.  Finally the National Trophy Round 4 is at Ipswich on the 29th.  Full details of these events can be found at http://www.easterncross.org.uk/league.htm

Finally as a reminder here are the details of the remaining events that make up the Club Cyclocross championship.
